Educational Equity & Everyday Work

Motivation

For educators who are engaged in authentic, anti-racist work aimed at equitable access to educational outcomes, staying motivated can sometimes be a challenge. As part of a professional learning session, you will have the embedded opportunity to connect with other participants through the small group sessions that I offer.

Support

For families seeking system navigation and educational advocacy, I offer the opportunity to walk through public facing websites of school boards with clear explanations of educational terminology so that the edu speak can be translated into everyday understanding. As I speak Hindi, Urdu, Gujrati, Marathi, Konkani and English. I can support educational information needs multilingually.

Mentorship

With 20+ years in Ontario’s educational settings, my formal and informal mentoring experience will support educators, school settlement sector workers and Employee Affinity Groups build an ongoing awareness of institutional privilege, deepen their practice in culturally relevant and responsive skills, strengthen family-school partnerships.
